Global Warming Sketch
the chosen water drop represents the melting earth and some of the factors which are having a contribution towards it,reflect on this water drop.
Global Warming
There are a great number of factors that have contribution towards increasing global temperature, of which I would like to mention; the rise in atmospheric greenhouse gases which has been brought about by human activity and is the process by which absorption and emission of infrared radiation by atmospheric gases. Not to mention that, the concentration of various greenhouse gases are being involved in increasing radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide on the part of the human activity.
Besides, the carbon dioxide released by burning of fossil fuels in electricity generation and the burning of gasoline in internal-combustion engines of cars and other vehicles of which the ones with poor gas mileage contribute the most to global warming issue. While
, The carbon dioxide created by airplanes and building are relatively 3.5 percent of global warming and 12% of carbon dioxide emissions.
However, Methane is more than 20 times as influential as CO2 at trapping heat in the atmosphere, based on IPCC.
The most prevailing and the most powerful green house gas on the planet is the water vapor and it has been increasing as a result of the other greenhouse gases. it simply cause increasing cloud formation reflecting heat back out into space.
Nitrous oxide, which is naturally produced by oceans and rainforests, is another green house gas and is being broken down in the atmosphere by chemical reactions creating sunlight.
Burning and cutting of approximately 34 million acres of trees each year cause Deforestation, which is the second principle cause of atmospheric carbon dioxide.
Permafrost solid structure of frozen soil which has been turned out to be a soft material causing subsidence and damages to buildings, electric generating stations, pipelines and other structures. The director of the global resource information database in Arendal,Norway said:” Permafrost has acted as a carbon sink, locking away carbon and other greenhouse gases like methane, for thousands of year. But there is now evidence that this is no longer the case, and the permafrost in some areas is starting to give back its carbon. This could accelerate the greenhouse effect.”
Global warming has been causing lots of consequences towards earth, such as the changes in agricultural yields, trade routes, glacier retreat, species extinctions and increases in the ran earth’s climate changes, changes in solar luminosity, volcanic eruptions.
Moreover, the rise in sea levels and the changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation which are causing flood or drought.

Assignment Two:"Halloween"
“ Halloween”, which is being felicitated every night of October 31 in many parts of western world especially in Ireland, the U.S. and Canada.
This celebration had brought to western countries by Irish and Scottish in 19th and 20th century, which has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival, when everybody celebrated their new year by wearing masks and costumes.
There is a belief that, on October 31, the dead enters to their world and causing them problems and damages, therefore people wear masks in this night, in order to stand against them.
“Halloween” is included of lots of symbols such as the carved pumpkin with a candle inside, monsters, ghosts, witches, vampires, skeletons, bats, and black cats.
Besides, the main two colors which are Black and Orange to indicate night, witches, bats and jack o’ lanterns, autumn, fire

My sketch and its statement
The main shape of my personal symbol is a combination of circle and triangle bringing about a smooth form, by which I would like to represent, both characteristics of circle and triangle.
Circle: female power, human spirit, eternity and divineness.
Triangle: success, prosperity, holy trinity.
I feel a deep connection with these concepts as well as the circle and triangle form, since I like the matters, which are related to moral and spiritual. The power of circle fascinates me because of its specific feature and its relation with God and divineness,
By this I mean, I want to depict my deep impressions and beliefs in moral things.
Moreover, the triangle, which is a holy shape, stands for my goals in life, prosperity and being successful.
Overall in the whole form, I used smooth and soft lines that represent calmness and serenity.
The smooth shapes in the main form are some moving spirals through it.
Spiral is symbolized as our inner and outer journey to God and the self, moreover, it represents human soul and essence, and in history it was a symbol of the sun and “life-death-rebirth.”
In fact, by using these moving spiral forms, I want to express my feelings and emotions as well as my thoughts and passion, which are constantly within my ego.
The colors that I used, yellow for showing hope, optimism, femininity, joy and liberalism.
Not to mention that, yellow is able to show my passion, that’s why I used it for the moving spirals.
The purple color is used in the main form, because of its creativity, spirituality and ambition characteristics.
No need to say that, yellow and purple are opposite of each other.
I’m of the assumption that, all these concepts of the forms and colors used are a good combination to this demonstration.

symbolism of Circle,Triangle and Square
Circle: has been used since prehistoric era and is regarded as the oldest ideogram. First it was founded in prehistoric caves to represent the sun or the moon.
An empty circle was used in order to indicate the eyes and the mouth.
In general, lots of concepts such as: infinity, protectiveness, unity, wholeness, the goddess, eternity, all possibilities, the endless and female power can be represented by circle. Moreover, it refers to human spirit and the inner individual.
However, the circles are not being used much in design.
Triangle: in ancient symbolism sometimes it refers to being well, good and healthy. Furthermore it is associated with holy and religious trinity especially in Christian symbolism and means safety as well as success and prosperity.
Square: Two-dimension shape represents a surface in both horizontal and vertical position and means ground, field, land or any elements of earth as well as earthbound matters.
Honesty, stability, equality, comfort, rigidity, uniformity and male are symbolized within squares.
In Buddhism the square located in the circle, indicates the relationship of the human and the divine.
